© Universität Bielefeld

The research group Multiscale Bioengineering was founded in April 2017 at the Faculty of Technology of the Bielefeld University with the aim of developing and establishing new microfluidic methods and tools for biotechnology and bioprocess engineering. In April 2021, the former Fermentation Technology group was integrated into the Multiscale Bioengineering group. The research focus of the new group is the development of new bioprocesses through traditional bioprocess development tools as well as the integration of new technologies such as bioprocess microfluidics.
